Which one would you eat? Fried Chicken Wings with honey glaze OR a simple Fried Chicken Wing? I would prefer to eat both ????. If you like crunchy crusts, you’ll definitely love them.
Preparation:
STEP 1- In a mixer grinder, add the dried red chillies, green chillies and peppercorns to make a dry paste.
STEP 2- Marinade the chicken with lime juice, ginger garlic paste, chilli and peppercorn paste, honey, dark soya sauce and salt. Cover it and keep it in the fridge for at least an hour.
Marinating the chicken overnight would be best. Take the chicken out of the fridge at least 20 mins before coating them.
STEP 3- Next, take three big bowls. In one bowl beat two eggs. In the other take corn flour and in the third bowl mix refined flour/maida, cornflakes, salt, pepper and red chilli powder together.
Crush the cornflakes with your hands before mixing it.
STEP 4- In a saucepan, pour 250 ML of refined oil. In about 2 mins on medium high flame the oil should be hot enough to fry the chicken wings.
STEP 5- Meanwhile, start coating all the chicken wings. Coat the chicken wings first with the corn flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs and then coat it with the flour & cornflakes mixture.
STEP 6- Fry the chicken wing on medium heat for 2 mins on each side. If the chicken wings are small in size it might take lesser amount of time and if it’s huge it will take three mins on each side.
You can serve it just like this with a dip on the side. But, if you want it to coat it with a sauce then follow the steps mentioned below;
STEP 7- In another saucepan, pour the leftover liquidy marinade from the chicken wings. Let it come to a boil. Once it comes to a boil, turn off the heat. Your sticky spicy sauce is ready.
If you want, you can add extra dried red chillies (sliced) in here to make it spicy.
STEP 8- Coat the fried chicken wings with THE STICKY SPICY SAUCE as shown in the video and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. Your spicy chicken wings are ready to be served.
